Money, Money, Money

To save or not to save…that is the question?

Right, i’m on this random ‘intending to save as much as possible’ mode this year…well for the first couple months of the new year anyhow….and mainly because I feel as though I squandered a bundle of my finely earned pences on shite or things that don’t actually matter too much, over the last year. I mean, gosh, I spent moola on lots of things that did matter…and still do matter. I’m fun my nature…so all that’s perfectly dandy. Yet, there are things, little things, (little things all add up in the end, ) that sort of make my kitten body *cringe* with every inch of its being, when i look back and remember where I chose to dedicate funds.

This year, i’m going to be smarter. (Three cheers)

Plus, when it comes to feeling good and feeling a sense of achievement…I’m not one to ‘get off’ on being a little bit skinnier, or more toned in the tummy area, or whatever. Lol. I’m not a gym bunny by any means. And well, as everyone else joins the ‘get slim, now it’s new year’ brigade…which i do believe is a great start for all of those committing to it. If you’ve started…you’ve done well. If you’ve kept to it, 4 days in…you’ve done well. I think, with anything, if you stick at it, you’ll get results. Diets work…if you do what you’re supposed to. 🙂 To be cringey and honest. I don’t really find dieting that hard at all. I mean, we all have our issues,  but dieting and body weight really isn’t one of mine. I’m pretty body confident (and you would be if you spent years making an income from boobie modelling) but I can resist most things that are classed as ‘bad for me’ simply because when growing up in LA happens to you, in your 20’s….you just learn to live some kind of healthier, foodie lifestyle. (It’s definitely not a Yorkshire pudding and gravy town.)

But yes, being a dress size smaller (sorry, i went on a ramble) doesn’t really do it for me anymore. However, knowing that i’ve actually managed to allocate my money more carefully, on the things that truly matter and not on a whole bunch of nonsense, would make me feel a great sense of achievement. Then to take it further and save up so well that I manage to accumulate tons of dosh, that i’ve worked hard for, or won the lottery with 🙂 ….well that would 100 percent make me feel better, more powerful, more together and just more sensible.

(I know, look at me being a grown up.)

So, you should all do it with me.

I mean, you don’t have to save zillions…you can just do it on a much more easier scale, where in which you wouldn’t really miss your money, as long as you make it fun, you’re going to find it easy! If you’re competitive…go against someone else and see if you can beat their booty at making money, via the fine art of saving.

I mean, it’s not a lot, but it’s worth it, as you’ll have that extra bit of ‘look what I saved,’ on top of whatever you’re making anyway, right?

So give it a go…

Or you can even try this one…

…for the people (like me,) who don’t get a buzz from saving £1. 🙂 (And that’s stupid of me really, as every single penny counts. I’m such a douche sometimes, because there are people out there, right now, this second, that would give ANYTHING for £1.)

But yes, try saving….

I also saw this on Facebook…

Someone had come up with an idea to carry around a ‘blessing bag’ with them…in their car, bag or anywhere on them, that seemed convenient, and the purpose of the bag (and I read this as a simple Facebook post, that one of my friend’s had shared)  is/was this..

“This is what me and my daughter have started doing….We are keeping a “Blessing bag” in our car in case we find someone in need. You can make these up with items from the Dollar Tree such as gloves, thermal socks, beef sticks, crackers, candy bars, toothpaste, toothbrush, wipes, deodorant, snacks and other items that may help someone who is homeless or in a bad way. It is just a thoughtful, inspiring thing to do. This is something we are going to start doing from now on. Thank you to the ones that did this long before us, for being such a giving, loving, caring person! Random acts of kindness take very little to change the life of just one person.”

Now, i’m a doll that believes in Karma. What goes around really does come around and I don’t really notice it too much these days, nor have I over the past couple years, as I’ve pretty much kept myself happy and out of trouble. Lol. (Being a Mum helps. Wine does too. 🙂 )

But in my 20’s….GOSH did Karma bite me in the ass. 🙂 It came and it nibbled at my goolies, every single time I figured I was being a smart ass and getting the better of life. I learnt fast. Lol. I quit being a dickhead. Yay!

My Monday has been ace. It’s been chilled, but productive and I made the worst cabonara ever, Yipppeee!
