Last Two Months, Singledom & Living

Image may contain: Chrissie Wunna, outdoor

I’m literally having the most amazing time, dipped in ’30 something’ year old fun, glamourosity and life. I’m single, but i’m crushing, and i’m whole heartedly delighted that we’ve strapped all other festivities under our belts and we’re now getting armed in sequins and getting our ‘shimmie’ on into Christmas.

My absolute favourite time of year!

(And not just because I have a December birthday! Hint Hint! No wonder i’m mental, if I was birthed during a time, when penguins sang songs about reindeers, whilst wrapped in tinsel, by elves, who worship a dude with a giant white beard and have an after work mulled wine!)

Yippee!

It’s just a great time of year, where nothing but tinsel and celebrations matter. Cocktails are poured. Events are a plenty. Cuddles and laughter, meander around cosy city streets & hearts are filled with love, MORE than they are broken at Christmas. You can choose to stay in, or choose to play out. Either way, it is always sweet rum drizzled and delightful!

Memories are made during this time of year.

Memories are also treasured….because we all kinda grab our lip gloss, after a Bailey’s…or look through our ‘ye olde’ phone pics and remember. Your favourite tune will play on the radio, just as you had it in your head. You’ll walk past a restaurant, that will remind you of some guy, or some girl, you once dated. Someone will totter past you in a hurry, in a busy shopping centre and they’ll smell just like the crush, you’ve always wanted to score. Memories are great. They’re not there to dwell on though. Don’t get caught up with memories, until it’s time. Until you’re old and ready. Until you’ve done your absolute back in and you can’t possibly dash, in your glitter heels to ‘Tattu’ on time, for a ‘smokey cocktail’ without feeling the pain.

Until then…just live.

Just LIVE and don’t apologise for doing so.

Guy friend: ‘See, Wunna! It’s THIS shit that makes you beautiful. The tits and all the rest of it, come second fiddle to all this shit.’

Me: ‘I thought you said you loved my boobs?’

Guy Friend: ‘Fucking hell. Haha. Take a compliment.’

Anyway….

Something great will happen to us all, which will make our kitten soul’s beam, before we wave off 2018. Something will also make us cry. But that’s life and that’s why it’s wonderful.

We’re given a story to create. A life to live…and if nothing else, we are giving the opportunity to FEEL. For 10 years this year, i’ve written CHRISSIEWUNNA.COM. It actually started 14 years ago, on Myspace. All I’ll have at the end of the day, as i’m swaying to Britney in my rocking chair, are my memories.

Go get what you want. Don’t let anything, especially fear stop you. You might not win. Yet if you don’t try, you won’t have lived. That’s what we’re here to do.

Don’t get it twisted.

(I can’t believe i’m writing this in a play area. Haha.)

It doesn’t matter whether you spend it with good friends, family, boyfriends, girlfriends, the people you shouldn’t be playing around with, lovers, old spirits, new crushes or with your next door neighbours cat?

You’ve only got 2 more months LEFT on 2018, so make sure you LIVE IT. Make sure you enjoy it. Do what makes you happy. Find you inner life love and make the end of this year (which has had it’s ups and downs for everyone) WORTH IT.

Create magical moments.

You’re here for a good time, not a long time.

Over the last week, i’ve probably done everything. I’ve cocktailed with old friends, which found me sharing fireworks with them, as we cheered on our favourites on Strictly, discussed my tragic love life and enjoyed time with family, over wine.

Helen: ‘You’re just so pretty.’

Me: ‘Aww! That’s sweet. But everything is literally pinned, sewn or glued on. I mean, let’s face it, you couldn’t put me through the wash, could you!

Helen: ‘Hahah..

Gina: ‘I fucking love you…

I’ve talked to strangers, with cucumber drinks at The Botanist, Leeds. (I love The Botanist, Leeds, because it’s so  hidden away and freshly cosy. ) Inspired people at Restaurant Bar & Grill. I’ve whizzed and whirled and eaten pear salads, with a fruity umbrella drink in my hand and with my own laughter filling the rooms.  I’ve shopped. I’ve loved. I told Matt Goss, that he’s my celeb crush. He pretty much liked it 😉 which made my heart swoon. Lol.

I’ve been a great soul, an even better Mum. But most of all, loved telling you my story. (Your questions have been amazing.)

I don’t know what happens to me in the end. I just know it’s something wonderful.

I don’t ask for much. I just ask for peace. (And the man of my dreams to share life with me. I have everything else, I need.)

Everyone keeps going on about how single I am because it’s apparently so unbelievable?

‘How the hell are you…’

‘YOU’RE Single?

‘How are you, even nearly single..’

I certainly am, and I certainly don’t know why? Haha.

Firmonnell (My chick best friend) : ‘She’s single by choice!’

If I had the answer, I wouldn’t be strutting around with a neon ‘Going Solo’ arrow above my head, would I? I’d be building my white pickett, rum stained fence, to Disney classics.

If you’re a 30 something singleton too. Don’t worry! I hear so many of you worry!

DON’T.

The worrying alone is not seductive. Lol. It’s awkward. It’s thumb twiddly.

In this day, being a single 30 something year old woman (I’m 37,) three marriages down, doesn’t make you rubbishy, like no one wants you. To me, it makes you powerful because you now KNOW what you want and instead of standing at the side of the dance hall, waiting for some guy to ask you to boogie, you’re confident enough to just make your OWN fun, with your gent of choice and leave the party whenever you wish.

I’ve never been so chased by boys in my life, than I have in my 30’s. That’s the honest truth and it’s because i’m much more wiser, comfortable and THAT ALONE IS HOT. It’s sexy. I know how I want to feel. I know how I want to look. I know what will make me happy.

Be interested in yourself and others will take interest in you. Give people something of value and they will jump on board. (My LA balcony buddy taught me that, over balcony tea….as we walked the drummer from Maroon Five, do life, through a window. He was our ‘across the way’ neighbour. He once lifted me back into my condo, when passed out drunk, as a gaggle of gay men surrounded me…not to help, but to perv on my hot laywer roommate. Lol

I was in a lime green fedora. Haha. That’s all I remember. I love West Hollywood nights. I got into a state outside ‘The Abbey’ in West Hollywood because Ryan, my crush didn’t love me. (Turns out he secretly did, but treated me badly because he had a girlfriend?)

Ry: ‘I was crazy about you. I didn’t know what to do? So I made a weak decision because i’m a pussy.’

His last name is ‘March.’ I have it tattooed on my right inner arm. J

Friend: ‘You two were going on dates and everything! How fucking weird!!!

But that was years ago….and at the time it was shit! However now, it’s a fond, funny memory.

Time is like magic….It’s certainly precious, so you should use it to your advantage. Yet at the same time, let it fly, because it heals things without you realizing. 😉

I guess, everything is just about balance….and  cocktails.

Zanetti’s Halloween…

Image may contain: Chrissie Wunna, indoor

Halloween was just amazing. It was a wild piece of escapism, that every piece of ‘chica’ needs. The host I chose was Tom Zanetti…and as always, he did his city proud. He’s like the ‘Diddy’ of Leeds, who’s slowly, but surely taking over ALL cities & it’s great to see him going from strength, to strength. His ‘hustle’ has been grand and he absolutely deserves all the wonderful things that are happening to him right now. He works hard, he loves hard and he’s ambitious. But his heart is always in the right place.

Me: ‘Hi! It’s me. Can I come in? ;)’

Amy: ‘It’s Chrissie. It’s fine. All the way up!’

(Amy’s hot! She’s Zanetti’s PA. I told you on the last blog. I love her. She’s sassy!)

Right, so I was up in VIP, at Aspire, Leeds… which is an old untouched bank, that has been refurbished for events.

I was kinda already merry by this point, as I walked up the stairs and through the VIP entrance. I passed security, through all the calm and squinted through the bright lighting.

I was greeted at the entrance and then as I stepped forward, I  entered a world of darkness, mood lighting and sophisticated madness.

It was beautiful.

So, I like to get to parties earlier, rather than later, these days? I don’t know why? But after the life I lived in LA and the age I am now, I kinda just like to *tinkle* up for a couple hours, have fun and disappear back home or to my hotel, before all the UTTER MADNESS begins.

If i’m not there when the madness is occurring, I won’t get into trouble. 😉

I’m not a stay out until 3am kinda kitten, anymore. There’s bed sheets to snuggle in or soil (lol) by then. I like my beauty sleep. I’m wild, but sensible, all at the same time…and if i’m being honest, I kinda like it that way.

I also love a guy, who loves to go out and have a bit of fun, (i’m naturally social,) but then go home for a bit of ‘grown up’ sexy time.

Or as we used to call it in LA, a ‘throw down.’ 😉

Wine was poured, guys we’re masked and *winking* from their tables, slutty clowns, saxophone players, haunted swimsuit models, illusionists, magicians, reality tv stars, sportsmen and all sorts filled the VIP area.

The VIP was ‘Heaven’ high, on a Mezzanine and looked over the crowd, as they filtered in and celebrated their version of Halloween.

There was a sexy calmness to the VIP and an utter hellish madness that went on down below. Hell was filled with a young crowd that had surrendered to a ‘good time’ in the name of Zanetti.

It was perfect…

..and the awesome thing about a ‘Zanetti‘ party is that all freedom occurs. However like the ‘Vegas Code,‘ it stays as a ‘sexy whisper.‘ You’re protected by life, in the name of ‘good times.’

There’s a sophisticated, high end, ‘gangsta’ vibe.

I remember everything being so full, so fast and a delicious tipsy *blur.* I was filled with wine and a girl, who was dressed as a sexy clown girl, kept giving me her card, and talking to me about life…She was wonderful and I adored her. She talked to me ‘drenched in fun’ madly. Then she told me her name was ‘Emerald.’

Me: ‘Is that your real name or a stage name..’

Emerald: ‘No, it’s my actual real name.’

Me: ‘I love that. It’s sexy.’

She was with a sexy ‘Catwoman,‘ and I couldn’t think of better company really. Lol. If you’re gonna go anywhere, take a sexy Catwoman with you.

Anyway…

I sauntered off to my own version of life and watch my surroundings.

Everyone was messaging me. My inbox was jammed. I even snapchatted with ‘T Bone,’ in New Zealand, and that made me smile, because…. Well…because….

Then as I stood over the balcony, filming Insta videos of myself, I looked to my left and saw Tom, with Hayley.

They’d just arrived…It was still early on in the night.

Tom: ‘Hi…

(He was in VIP watching the crowd filter in.)

Me: ‘Hiya…’

So I walked over to say ‘Hello’ properly and take appropriate selfies. Lol.

Tom was quite the gentleman. He looked smart. He looked very GQ and dapper. Hayley was as sweet as pie. She beamed, with the cutest smile and was so lovely to me. She is literally BEAUTIFUL & together they were stunning.

You’d think they’re stunning anyway, right? But UNTIL, you meet them both together , even when they’re ‘on show, ‘ it’s only then when you realize just how magnetic they are.

I loved them.

The main thing that got me, was just how smitten they were. They were each other’s world and radiated an absolute genuine ‘soul mate’ love for one another. It was kinda like they were destined to take on life together.

I love that in couples.

They’re both fun by nature. Yet, they looked young and innocent, yet sexy. There’s real depth to their relationship.

The were definitely destined to meet and i’m sure he treats her like a Queen….which I adore.

Anyway..

They left to quickly fit in ‘date night’ drinks at Tattu, before the party got going and when they got backed, they were drunk, happy, in love and wild.

Zanetti, does the Paris Hilton thing, where you show up early and make sure all is running smoothly, before coming back and making a real entrance, once everything kicks off.

Paris: ‘Always arrive at a party when it starts getting wild and leave before everyone else does.’

Bottom line, I couldn’t even see by the end of the night. I was sauntering around, drunk, tired, but glorious.

I walked back to my hotel early and got back in by midnight.

IT WAS FREEZING.

I definitely stripped down naked, but left all my Devil make up on…Haha…then sent a naughty video. 😉

I certainly woke up worst for wear….with a meeting that I had to get ready for at noon and a hang over.

That’s life.

I had the best time ever…

Happy Halloween

That Moment Before Halloween Did Me Over ;)

Image may contain: 1 person, indoor

What a night! What a time! I’m talking about Saturday. It’s now Tuesday, and i’ve only just pulled myself together. If there was living and then there was L.I.V.I.N.G…this Halloween…I smashed it.

Right! Let’s go…

I have been the busiest kitten in all of the glitzy land and it’s not as easy on the old body, as it was when I was 20 something in Hollywood. That’s the truth. Yet, I’m so lucky. I’m enjoying it thoroughly and something tells me that I’m much BETTER at being a 30 something, than any other decade. It kinda suits me well, because i’m tougher now. I was even tough then. I was a confident , yet wild 20 something, moulded by LA life, as I tinkered a career in entertainment. I went through an awful lot. It hasn’t been easy.

That was the first time around…Things happened after that!

This time around I’m NOT 21, i’m 37. I’m wiser, I’ve learnt and things are always better, the second time around.

You take a better shot, because your soul is filled with the correct ingredients. Your life experience radiates and powers over and people open doors for you, with more respect and utter grace. I don’t just mean this in work, but also when it comes to love. Your second shot, is always much stronger, because you’re adjusted yourself and you know what you’re dealing with.

MMmmkay…

(I actually told a guy called ‘Nathan’ that things were better the second time around, as I ate a spinach and pear salad, whilst hungover at Gino’s, in Leeds. My favourite salad ever. I love salads with pears in. I love that I can walk into Gino’s and be treated with absolute love by the staff. I love that I can simply state that i’m so hungover and without me uttering another word, they baby me and know exactly what I need…Lol)

Anyway. I don’t know how old, ‘Nathan’ was, but I reckon around fifty? He’d run a massive business, that set him in the high money stakes. Then he *ballsed* it all up, by going wild, leaving his wife and spending all this money, before almost going bankrupt.

Yipppeee!

He randomly told me that this was his second time around. (I don’t even know him at all?) But I assured him, that if he concentrated, and wanted it more than anything, y’know, did everything the right way….he would smash it.

Me: ‘It’ll be even bigger the next time around…’

It’s how life works. It’s not about what happens, it’s about the kinda human you are and how you handle that ‘what.’

Okay….

Things are changing for me and it’s a really wonderful feeling. I’m steady away and i’m doing okay. I’m not in a race for success. I love my present and i’m enjoying my time. I’ve got a long way to go. But I don’t look over my shoulder to see what or how everyone else is doing? I just stay focused on my own world, my own version of life and i’ll ‘hit’ my goals, when i’m meant to… Y’know, when life cuts me some slack. 😉

It’s important to refrain from comparing your current chapter to someone’s else’s chapter.

Anything can happen at any time! I’ve watched it and lived it.

Mum: ‘Career first, Chrissie. You can have anything or anyone you want, afterward. Don’t get distracted. I believe in you.’

I’d sailed off a very busy week of meetings, work and bustle. I was exhausted. I hadn’t been sleeping much. My mind wouldn’t let me. Last week, I met so many people. In fact that week, I did so SO much, that it kinda all feels like a blur.

I was still excited for the weekend though!

I woke up and the babies, ‘Ruby & Junior’ jumped on me in bed, with laughter and cuddles. They were bursting with joy! We made OUR Saturday morning, all about Ackworth Garden Centre, because they wanted to go fancy dress Pumpkin Carving, with Peppa Pig. and Mummy.

It was wonderful. It was wonderful because I TREASURE family time. I’m a real family girl, even though I have an independent soul. The moment I saw their faces light up with excitement, my heart was sold. I’m a softy. I love making people happy. It fills me with glee. I’m so proud of them. I’m so proud of how well they’re doing.

They’re literally my world.

Image may contain: 1 person, sitting Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, sitting and child

We giggled. We carved. We did Halloween. It’s times like that, when I love being a single mum. When there’s just us…doing life, because no idiots can distract us. Our bond is too strong. We’re so close. Nothing else matters when we’re together as a team.

BLISS….

But oh my gosh, I am so properly SHIT at carving pumpkins, because IN LIFE,  i’m not good at the niggly tasks, the little tedious bits, that you’d usually hire someone to do or have a husband for. Lol. I know that sounded LAME. But I am. I don’t have the patience for the niggly bits. Haha. Yet, on THAT day, I don’t know what happened to me? I did! I got on with it, because I was motivated by love. (It’s the key to success… 😉 )

Jenna: ‘Look at Wunna…’

Me: ‘I can’t do this sober. It’s like wrapping presents on Christmas Eve, you need to be tipsy.’

Let’s say, it was an achievement.

Anyway,

We had the most amazing family time…and that’s what I love about my life right now. It’s feels pretty balanced.

I actually feel like a really decent human and it’s so hard on me at times, when people (as in guys,) forget to see how lovely the ‘whole picture’ is and not just how great I might be in the ‘sack.’ I’d really appreciate a man, who appreciated me for the ‘whole picture,’ they don’t come around that often in my world…and i’m not saying that I don’t get attention. We all know I do.

But, every single time I look at a guy, after he makes his move and smoozes on in, I always think that he’s ONLY after one thing…and potentially nothing else…because that’s what always happens to me. I don’t think many guys have proved  to me, that I’m more than JUST THAT.

Don’t get me wrong, i’m a grown up girl. I love sex. I’m single. I’m okay. I’m happy. I do hope to find my one. I say that all the time. Yet, I don’t want to comprise my heart, or sell myself short . So being sexy and naughty and flirting is great! It’s part of being a grown up and certainly part of being a single 30 something. It’s hot and i’m sensual by nature.

I love it.

It’s sexy and I love a bit of ‘filth.’ Yet, if nothing more develops from it, other than ‘nookie’…and because i’m a girl, I kinda just think that it was ALL, a waste of my time?

Men don’t like to tell me or show me that I could be more to them than that….

I never know why?

Anyway, back to the story….

Where were we…Oh Yeah…PUMPKINS*Deep Breath*

I will tell you that, the last time I carved a pumpkin, was over a decade ago. It’s not my forte. It never has been. The last time it happened,  was out of force.

I was pissed, in West Hollywood, doing Tequila shots, dressed as a Playboy bunny, by a dining table. What I learnt is that, you should never ever carve pumpkins, stone cold sober, if you are a glamour puss. (And when I say ‘Glamour Puss’, I don’t mean a chick, who just wears too much lippy. It’s more of a manner than a look, to me.)  Do remember to  ALWAYS add tequila. Pumpkin carving is harder than you think…until you put ya back into it.

I actually loved every minute. It made my babies smile. They just looked up at me, and wee’d themselves laughing, whilst shaking their heads, as I struggled in my ‘Little Mistress’ faux fur…

Ruby: ‘Look at Mum trying to cut out pumpkin eyes. She needs a wine. Haha…..’

Then we walked over to ‘Ego,’ (I’m actually blogging from ‘Ego’ now with a wine,) for pasta, salmon dill fishcakes and mocktails, before I grabbed all my stuff, tried on my Ann Summers Devil’s outfit, sipped a quick ‘get ready’ vino, kissed the babies ‘good bye.’

I then *blinked* and found myself on the train to Leeds City Centre.

I checked into Park Plaza…

I love checking into Park Plaza, simply because it’s easy, styish, comfy and SO WELL LOCATED. Nothing’s a bother. Plus, you can’t really beat being *slap bang* in the middle of the city centre. It’s a ‘dolly’ strut distance from EVERYTHING. It’s in the most perfect spot. I’ve stayed there a lot. I always try to stay there when I need to

I don’t know whether it’s just me? But I LOVE that moment when you check into a hotel, get through all the pleasantries..

Reception: ‘Good Afternoon, Miss Wunna….You’re on the 14th floor..’

Man at bar: ‘Hi, how are you? You’re stunning. Where are you going tonight?’

… and then you finally *whoosh* yourself up to the 14th floor, slide in, shut the door, turn on the lights, turn on the tunes and BOOM! BLISS! You’re there! You’re done….You chill and sip your wine, in peace. (But then Insta Story, the hell out of it all. Haha.)

Within moments of hair doing, face doing and wine sipping… I was here…

I felt so alive. I felt so fun. I usually hate Halloween. But this year I was excited. I don’t know why I was excited? It’s something that I don’t bother celebrating often.  I was just in a really good mood. So after a couple facetime calls, I was out!

(Well technically, I had to go find Aaron &Stephen the Paps, because they couldn’t find parking and didn’t know exactly where they were, for the Zanetti bash.)

Steve: ‘The Sat Nav, says it’s literally just around the corner…’

Aaron: ‘We’re parked outside this building…It says GVA on it?’

(Sends me a picture.)

So, being me, I walked up to find them…within the city streets of Leeds, at night…dressed in my slutty devils outfits…in stockings & horns. Haha.

Dude: ‘Are you not scared?’

Me: ‘No. I’ve lived. I’m not scared of a 2 minute walk, dressed like this. I’m more concerned that i’m COLD. I hate the cold. Lol’

I don’t think i’ve ever got hit on as much in my life!!??!

And the sad thing was, I was strutting through the streets, with my head held high, like I didn’t even know I was dressed like a slutty devil. I was like Beyonce….but shitter.

The funny thing was that, when I got into the lift on the 14th floor, it stopped at the 10th.  The doors open and a poor handsome guy, who was waiting to jump in, must have got the shock of his flipping life.

Imagine your lift doors opening and I’M THERE, laughing, dressed as Devil, with all my boobs pouring out and with a sequinned pokey stick, tapping against my thigh!

Hahahah.

Guy: ‘I can’t tell whether this is real or a prank? Lol’

Me: ‘I’m so sorry. Haha. Don’t feel awkward. It’s real.’

Guy: ‘No. No. I don’t feel awkward. You look beautiful! Where we going? Hell?’

Me: ‘Yeah…Probably…Haha..’

Guy: ‘Honestly….Where you off?’

Me: ‘Just some party. I’m actually going to find my friends..’

Guy: ‘What you doing afterward?’

Me: ‘I’m going to sleep…’

(This was our convo from the 10th floor to reception, in our lift.)

Anyway, I managed to find ‘The Boys,’ Aaron & Steve, snuggled warm in their Audi, on King Street. (A life of a pap is certainly rewarding, but must so hard. It was a freezing cold night and to think that they had travelled from city to city, having to wrap up warm like lil’ snuggly bears, to take pictures of celebs, whilst being stood outside in the cold for hours… is not easy.)

But they do it and they don’t even moan. Plus, it must be shit having me sat in the back of your car, poking you with a Devil’s stick, and moaning because I want booze.

They got ready to shoot, I stepped into a bar named ‘Box,’ just on the corner. I’ve never been there before, but fire eaters where outside and I knew that Tattu & Blackhouse wouldn’t let me in in Fancy Dress…so I headed in and it was fun.

It was actually filled with loads of people who were headed to Zanetti’s Halloween party…I ordered a wine, talked to a clown, Catwoman told me she thought I was ‘stunning’ then this business man, from down south, hit on me…and tried to make me stay with him for the night…

Me: ‘I’m going next door now..’

Guy: ‘What time are you done? Can I not give you my number. Call me afterward…’

Me: ‘I’ve godda go…’

I show up at Aspire, which is where the ‘Zanetti/Sleepin is Cheatin’ night was being held.  I check in with the boys…who were waiting outside, freezing cold, but camera ready…

Security are lovely to me, Amy (Zanetti’s PA) showed me straight in, a wrist band was strapped on me and I was guided upstairs to the VIP.

Then the night began….

When I did Tattu, Leeds

‘Hi! Are you eating? Or are you just drinking today?’

(It was delivered to me with such panache. There was a stylish warmth. A professional flirtiness. A kindness. A gentleness. A sensual classiness. Yet, a charm that beckoned you off, the busy city centre streets and brought you straight through a mysterious glass door and into the enchanting, yet seductive world of Tattu.)

It was almost calming….

Me: ‘Oh! I’m just drinking. I reckon cocktails.  I’m doing the afternoon alcoholic thing. 😉 ‘

As soon as I strutted into Tattu, after dashing from place to place, meeting to meeting, around the city of Leeds, I was literally lost in a wonderous swirl of ‘ooh laa.’ A cosy sophistication, that ‘oozed’ me with mood lighting, as I found myself surrounded by giantly draped cherry blossom trees and a majestic oriental Zen, that filled my wink with sensuality.

Image may contain: plant and flower

Will: ‘That’s the thing about this place…It plays with your senses. Everything you see is carefully aligned. Everything you touch feels real and raw. Everything you taste…Everything you hear…’

It was sensuous. It was sexy…and it made me feel sexy. It took me away from the every day bustle. It’s a world of it’s own and there was a calm allure in the air. It was beautiful and the beauty was so intense, that it was almost like the mistress that you crave to be your wife. With secret spot lit, glossy corridors, mood lit stairways and a secluded private dining area…It’s a certainly what I’d call magnificent…

It was literally a life saver… Plus, I needed a sexy pitstop…to ease me into Friday. I ventured in just after 12 noon…

So, I’d been to Tattu, in Manchester before. I knew what to expect. However, I was still blown away. I actually went on a date there, with a guy that I named ‘Eton Mess,’ years ago. He loves a blond now. 😉  I blogged about it and we made cocktaily memories under the golden elevated rope tied anchors, in Manchester… We managed to get lost in the magic, which is what life is about.

Anyway…Back to the point…

In front of me was Will…(@thehumblebartender,) shaking up a cocktail storm. He did it with a delicate flair. Another gentleman beamed & greeted me, who oozed a helpful managerial charm. (I liked him. He seemed so polite & pleasant.) To my right, was @drewtattu. He was sat to the side of the bar, working away on his silver laptop. I saw the tops of his tattooed hands tippering away on his keyboard.

By this point, I’d already flipped open the bright red cocktail menu, ordered a ‘Skull Candy.’ (I don’t mess around.)

Manager: ‘If you choose a cocktail on this page, they’re the most Instagrammable.’

I mean, how clever is that! It’s not JUST the most beautiful place to drink, dine and escape mundane life, in Leeds. But there is also a sincere amount of innovative detail that goes into the ‘business’ that is Tattu. These boys aren’t silly, they’re WAY ahead of the game. They’re on another ‘genius‘ level of knowing how to promote their business and that alone is sexy. The reason why it’s sexy is because it’s utterly thoughtful and anything that is thoughtful, is fueled by love.

Anything fueled by love is powerful. It’s passionate.

I mean, you don’t have the likes of David Beckham and Justin Bieber, casually walk through your restaurant doors, if you’re not doing something delicious…

Me: ‘It’s alright if I walk around and take a few videos of the place, right?’

Manager: ‘Yeah, yeah…take a look upstairs, have a walk around.’

The service was impeccable. Each member of staff couldn’t have been more invested in the person sat in front of them. They made you feel good. They made you feel special. I scanned the place quickly with my little kitten eyes and I noticed that the busy lunchtime had tinkered in a huge variation of clientele. There were older couples who just fancied a delicious lunch. Young professionals, who had slide in after work. Mothers and daughters, after a busy shopping day. Old friends. New friends….and dates. 😉

(Tattu IS the IDEAL date spot!! It is literally on another mystic level. Any gentleman who takes his lady to this restaurant, will forever be adored. Will definitely hit ‘the jackpot’ lol and because the place evokes such a magic. It;s stimulating. It’s the perfect place to fall in love.)

My ‘Skull Candy (which was served to me IN a smokey glass skull) was delicious. It bubbled with absolute passion. It was almost like a pink candy potion, that could set your wink on fire. It makes you feel alive and is certainly a ‘must have’ cocktail.

Wait…let me show you…

I mean, the guys WILL suggest cocktails for you, that they believe you’d enjoy…based upon your vibe. Their job starts as soon as you walk through the glass door. It’s almost like sorcery. 😉 You’ll feel stimulated… immediately.

I love them for that!

It’s literally a ‘kittens’ paradise. I mean what better way to spend an afternoon, when you’re 37 and single.

Then after conversations with the boys…

‘I’m a blogger…an influencer…

‘We’re opening a Tattu in Edinburgh…

‘Which show are you going on?’

‘My partner works in television..’

‘This place is going to take over the world…’

‘Why don’t you try The Cherry Negori..?’

‘I’m a professional bad influence..’

(..he said that as he sliced lemons.)

And almost like magic, I had a ‘The Cherry Negori’ on order… 😉

Now, the reason why I ordered The Cherry Negori, is because Tattu is the ONLY bar in the entire nation, that serves cherry blossom vermouth. No other bar in the country ARE ABLE to serve it, because Tattu bought THE ENTIRE stock…Therefore it’s a signature, only at Tattu cocktail…and we all know I love a bit of that! 😉

Will: Here, I’ll let you taste the vermouth. It’s a little bitter, but I love it. I think its…’

Me: ‘It’s amazing…’

So, as we bantered..

Will: ‘I’m gonna be launching my own youtube channel soon..’

…he began hand twirling a drill through the top of a giant ice cube, which was placed into a chilled & swilled glass.

I don’t know where he kept getting these appliances from? Lol…Giant ice cube, smoking tube, hand drill? It’s almost like they appeared, like magic, out of nowhere.

Then he tinkered to an old school treasure chest, and pulled out a tiny cherry blossom tree…which he gently caressed through the giant ice, after fresh pouring my negori, for serving.

‘You’ll really like it.’

(It’s now my favourite drink in Tattu. For some reason I want to try every drink on the menu.. I can’t tell if it’s alcoholism or just the pour beauty of the place. I like that it makes you feel naughty. Lol)

Like I said, it was a really busy lunch, because of the ‘Taste of Tattu’ menu ….and as I sat at the bar, I watched cocktail, after cocktail be made and I was literally  mesmerized

Me: ‘What’s that?’

Will: ‘The Smokin’ Aces…’

Yet, as always, I have my two drink ‘glamour pussy’ try out, don’t I? If I can go into a bar on my own and have two good drinks and not feel alone, bouji or awkward….then I know that the atmosphere is delightful.

So, after my cocktaily tipples and mainly because I had a meeting that I needed to get to…I could’ve stayed there all day…

I waved the boys off with a…

‘Thank you so much. You guys were great…’

..and calmly strutted out the glass door, back onto the city streets of Leeds. Yet, I was kinda filled with a soulful buzz, because they had made me feel so special.

I can’t wait to go back. It’s hands down the most breath taking restaurant/bar in Leeds.

If I was to describe it in a sentence….

‘Oriental mysticism, with a modern and creative, eastern decadence.’

Get booked in!!!

Can someone please take me on a date here plleeeease!!??!!!

We Should All Move To Manchester & Do ‘The Robot’

ac2

YOU HAVE 34 DAYS LEFT OF 2016! Yes you do! Yes you do! And it is SO important that you make the MOST of these last 34 days that we have. If you’ve worked hard all year, embrace the last jolly days of the year with fun, silliness and rummy cocktails. Give yourself a break. If you’ve been a total waster all year :)…take this time to maybe put together a better and more productive plan for the year ahead. If you’ve suffered from breakups, enjoy love. If you’ve been loved up…commit to independent good times. WE WILL ALL START NEW CHAPTERS in 34 days!

But more importantly, YOU ALL HAVE MY BIRTHDAY TO SAVE UP FOR, 🙂 so start emptying those piggy banks and gathering those coppers, as i have me a list that could roll out and blanket half the entire universe with glitter. Lol. (The fact that i’m actually kidding hurts me. If ONLY life was as simple as a ‘get me’ list. It’d make things so much easier. I guess i don’t focus as much on ‘stuff.’ Don’t get me wrong, I do love ‘stuff.’ I have a lot of stuff and i adore it all. But now that i’m in this certain position that i’ve found myself in life, experiences are important to me, as they create memories, thoughtfulness i always find sexy, so you can go far with me with that one…and well the things that i actually want or need for my birthday, if birthdays were magical and THEY ARE, are things that people wouldn’t be able to buy for me, as they are things that i’d have to work for and find….myself.) BUT DO SEND ME STUFF. I LOVE STUFF. It makes me think you care.

I’ve done so much this weekend that i don’t even know where to begin. Swung out of work on Friday, after we all decided that we all have everything else, in life be it babies, love, or whatever it is that ‘tree huggers’ harp on about, that matters…and that the only things we all have missing is SHIT LOADS OF CASH. I work really hard and i’m grateful for the little things, the big things, family, love, life and all sorts, but don’t you get me wrong, i am a girl who strongly BELIEVES that money matters. It makes life better. Not just easier. Yes you need balance. But with the money that you’ve made, you can do all of the things that you WANT to do in life. You can LIVE without having to make sacrifices. And in this current day and age…being able to do that, is down to an accumulation of dosh. IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE. Then i remembered that i promised a girl that i’d be her lesbian girlfriend, if i didn’t find love by 40 and left to start the weekend on a high note.

Anyway. This weekend i was in a random bar in Manchester, (i’ve been going to Manchester a lot, spend almost half my time there. ) I can’t even to this moment remember what this bar was called? It wasn’t one of the usual popular cocktail bar haunts, that i’m quite the fixture at, yet just some place that you run into to stay out of the cold, for one quick one, before your get to your bouji destination.

Now, i don’t know what happened? But one drink ended up being loads and my chick friend seems to be able to guzzle drinks down like some kind of booze baboon. Everyone was around us, everyone wanted to chat to us, it was like a fun, Christmas blur of the best good times ever. People, laughter, music ATTENTION. 🙂 I’d been explaining to her that she wasn’t an alcoholic, because my friend Sarah and I had come up with the conclusion over salads, that even though we have a drink every night, we are DEFINITELY NOT alcoholics, because i once met a guy who opened his door to me in cold sweats, pj bottoms, looking like he was about to die, with his ENTIRE BODY SHAKING from withdrawal symptoms, to the point where he couldn’t speak for shaking and she once saw a guy falling about drunk at 8am one morning, who then went on to take off his shoe and puke in it. I’ve never puked in a shoe, or shook in pj bottoms in a sweat…Means i’m not an alcoholic. 🙂

Long story short, i let my rubbish tool of a personality and good times get the better of me and before you know it i had gotten myself involved in this comedy dance off, with some random dude who was trying to make me commit to such foolery. The way my friend tells it is like this:

‘She sort of just started giggly moon walking backwards into a crowd, with her boobies and BOOM she turned around, the crowd had parted and she found herself involved in this bizarre Manchester dance off. YET unlike a normal human being, she didn’t just politely walk off with a smile, SHE FUCKING COMMITTED TO IT. And i couldn’t piss myself more.’

From my point of view, i knew i was going for it mid moonwalk, as fuck it, we need silly fun times to feel alive. I only have 34 days left of the year. 😉 I just didn’t realize how intense my opponent was. Lol. I thought it was going to be a laugh! Not the flipping ‘Britains Got Talent’ finals. Then my Pride kicked in and i couldn’t be shit, even though i was laughing it off…so i went for it. I went for it like a dickhead who over tries on the karaoke, when they can sing a bit, but  can’t actually sing that great, however, they think the can. That was me…in some bar…in boobs…in my House of CB dress…in Manchester.

He was popping and locking and busting and thrusting. He was all over it, but kinda shit too. So it made my job easier, as the crowd focused on looks and the funnest being and i totally won that war. 😉 I went for it. Then i had him, because there’s only a point where in which a guy an actually contain himself, around a girl who has all her focus upon him and is BEING EXTREMELY SEXY & FLIRTY TO WIN infront of him, in the form of gyratey dance moves. 🙂 After that point, testosterone kicks in and all sorts happen to their ‘parts’ and their minds and BOOM they become weak.

I could see him thinking it through mid body pop…

‘Does she fancy me? Would i actually be able to get my end away? Nooo, she just wants to the win the dance off? Wait? Does she fancy me?’

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

He lost his cool, he ended up falling to pieces, I WHOPPED OUT ‘THE ROBOT!’ Yes, i didn’t even know i could DO ‘The Robot’ but i committed to the basic yet fulfilling art of it, like a demon.

Everything *paused* and like i was Rocky Balboa, the crowd cheered and I won the Dance Off. He even offered to buy me a drink afterward, but I smiled, patted him on the back and tottered off. Then I tickled away to Tattu as it was so much better than hooligans and boners in bars. LOL. I’ve done lots this weekend. I’ve been everywhere, Manchester, Doncaster, Leeds. I hit The Botanist the other evening in Leeds with friends. I feel like i’ve lived a little.

It’s weird, as even though there’s this very apparent ‘up for a laugh’ adventure streak in me…there’s an odd swirl of sophistication that dances around with that…I’m a hard chick to read. Most people get it wrong. But i hope you don’t.

The next morning i was back with the babies, doing Santa’s Grotto’s at The Frenchgate shopping centre in Doncaster, we did Toy R Us, lunches, we did the Prosecco Pit Stop 🙂 , lights, rides, fun, CHRISTMAS and I pretty much gave them the most wonderful weekend that we have probably ever had as a family, in a really LONG time. I spoilt them rotten. I let them have whatever they wanted, do whatever they wanted and just live. (They’re not crazy, so it wasn’t so hardcore.) But they loved it so much because they’re eyes beamed when they smiled at me and their little Wunna hearts beated with excitement. You could just SEE that they felt so special, which made so happy.

The evening was spend in pj’s cuddling up, by the Christmas tree, watching telly and eating popcorn. BLISS! Even though i’ve been out and about, i’ve been blessed with so much of the very best family time.

This morning, i had ‘Daddy drop off’s.’ Like I’ve always said, Pete, Keiran and I co/parent so well with one another. We have our ups and downs, but the thing we have in common is the one thng we focus on and that’s the love of our children. I mean this morning, Ruby, Junior, My Mum, Keiran and I did breakfast at Ackworth Garden Centre, which was a place that was filled with love and Christmas. The kids LOVED IT. I loved it as i got to banter with old friends. And Keiran loved it as he felt part of a family. There was something about him today that made me want to care for him, as i guess when you’re the Dad part of the ‘separated parents’ malarky, Christmas isn’t as fun. On my end, it’s busy and joyous, exciting and wild. The babies are everywhere and we’re enjoying it loudly with bells on. Today he was happy, we got along great, but he had something missing from his soul…and that was everything that i had…The family. He misses it. I know him better than anyone…he misses it. He’s watching the kids grow up and that’s hard on him. He’s watching me grow…and that’s hard on him. He’s not a bad guy, bless him.

Always one to make people cheery, with smiles and laughter I looked at him and said,

‘Gosh! You’ve got to put a tree up Keiran. You don’t hate Christmas. You LOVE Christmas. You love getting gifts! You have Ruby and Junior! You can come spend Christmas with us. It’s not just another day. You’re not alone!!’

After that we laughed, chatted, played with Ruby and Junior and did the baby exchange. Then Ruby, my mum and I, met my dad and brother for lunch together at The Mallard. Where i did wine. Yipppeee!

Right now, i’m in a Fox Onesie and i don’t even know how that’s happened?? I was moderately moany about it at first…Yet now that my boilers broken and not getting fixed until tomorrow, the Fox onesie is a marvel.

Manchester, Tattu’s & the perfect ‘Eton Mess’

images (41)

On Friday morning, around 7am, I woke up to the most beautiful soul, that I had spooned all night, inbetween the four walls of 740 at the Macdonald Manchester Hotel. Literally, the most amazing human that I could ever EVER cross paths with…

Yet, let’s rewind to Thursday 2.30pm, when i had got on a train at Doncaster Station, Platform 3b, in the rain, filled with excitement, as a random blond, in a suit, civil engineer with an ipad had decided to sit next to me and show me his work plans? He must’ve been bored or something? Yet, weirdly I had already been told previously what his job actually encountered. So I nodded and listened and got to Manchester, almost in a jiffy! It was the quickest route ever. Literally 30 something minutes and *blink* I was there. It had stopped raining…which is always a good sign.

Checked into my hotel and I chose it simply because it was directly next to the station and let me tell you the staff at The Macdonald Manchester, couldn’t be more efficient or nicer! As soon as I whizzed through that revolving door, I was immediately greeted with an..

‘It’s Chrissie isn’t it! Hi! We’re so happy to have you here! Anything you could possibly need just ask….I’m….’ and straight away the manager, concierge and social media manager, who had been Tweeting me right at that exact moment, introduced themselves with comfort, professionalism and warmth. It made me feel really great! I mean, this was as soon as I whizzed through the door.

Then once i had checked in…they poured me a quick glass of fizz and a lovely gent escorted me up to my room, with the fizz in tow on a little silver tray, as I took pictures of him on my phone. Lol.

‘I’ll have to get used to that, right?’ He chuckled. 😉

Service was amazing, and to me that means a lot. I couldn’t have been happier and i’ve stayed in tons of hotel rooms all over the world, big ones, small ones, ones with bunk beds that rock a 2*, the best executive suites in a five *….all rooms, everywhere. They were kind and i appreciate that massively. Plus, I love hotel rooms, they always make me feel a sense of escapism. I find them really interesting simply because, they are buildings where in which behind every single door, something different is happening, all under one roof. People are living their own version of life, behind a door with an allocated number, plaqued on the other side of life.

I chilled and enjoyed it and then I began to get ready as ‘Eton Mess’ (who is the guy that I was meeting) finished off his work day. I will admit that I was nervous AND excited But i like that, as it makes me human and it means I really liked him. People never think that I’d be nervous and I never know why? It was a good nervous that really meant excitement. I’d never met him before, so i guess if i was being honest….I didn’t want him to hang out with me and think ‘nah.’ Lol. But the awesome thing was that I had been chatting to him on a friendly basis for months, a really long time, so i felt really comfortable, we  naturally get on really really well, he’s funny, he’s smart, he’s driven, he’s kind, I knew everything about him and already sort of felt a part of his world. You (as in blog readers) might not have really known too much about how I may of felt in regards to ‘Eton mess’ as I kinda kept it to myself because I was really interested in him. HOWEVER, if you work with me on a daily basis you WILL HAVE KNOWN how much I like this guy, as I chat about him all the time. 🙂 Haha.

But anyway, let’s fast forward to the evening.

I’m ready, he’s done working, we’re messaging, I’ve chosen ‘Tattu’ as our cocktail venue of choice. (I’ve never been there before, but my hick friend goes there lots, so I figured ‘why not.’) I felt good. I felt all confident at this point. He sounded ready. His banter was hilarious, I was sure he panicked a little. Lol. Yet, with a ‘man up’ message from moi and a ‘middle finger’ return emoji message from ‘Eton Mess’ (hahaha, i love that about him) I was in a taxi, en route to Spinning fields, in the evening, through the Manchester city streets, in my dress to meet him…at Tattu. In 10 minutes, which felt like five, he’d be right in front of me.

…and bang on the dot…as my taxi pulled up outside, there he was…(I saw him as I peeked through my taxi window.) He was stood under the Manchester evening stars, under a giant umbrella, waiting by my taxi door, in a white shirt, looking AMAZING! Like, I was even shocked at how AMAZING ‘Eton Mess’ looked. I mean, i knew he was hot anyway. I was attracted to him physically from pictures regardless…Yet, it’s a whole different thing when you actually see someone right there in the flesh and they are even more attractive than you could’ve ever imagined. (I did tell him that…because I would…wouldn’t I…and he smiled and said, ‘Are you trying to say that I take a bad picture.’ Lol.)

Let’s just put it this way, he is the most attractive man that I have seen in a very long time…as in YEARS! I was like ‘Holy Shit’ but quietly, on the inside. 🙂

But i got out of my taxi and there he was…as happy as can be, as lovely as can be…and with an umbrella! I love that! Good thinking! Lol…and we walked into Tattu, ready to well…begin our night.

We sat down in a booth and straight away got along, chatted and scanned the cocktail menu for immediate drinks. You need that immediate drink don’t you. I knew we would get along anyway, that didn’t worry me, as like i said, I’d been chatting to him for ages, longer than you would think…and it was like our paths had to cross, needed to cross, yet kept missing the ‘cross.’ Lol. So, more than anything, it was finally SO GOOD to meet him. Like, i said, you meet people in life, when you’re meant to meet them…so that night…was the night ‘The Gods’ wanted us to meet…and Yay, with the funnest cocktails in all the land.

We talked everything, he was down to earth and FUNNY and charming, yet real. He’s easy going and like i said such a great soul. I felt really lucky to me sat there with him, doing our own little version of life. He’s so interesting. I find him REALLY interesting and we’re quite similiar in the way in which we see things. I’m always of a positive, strong and supportive nature…as I know what matters in life, i understand people and he is the same way. We don’t dwell on the shit that doesn’t matter and only on the things that do. He’s a life enhancer. Someone who i would see as a best friend and a lover, yet someone who adds ‘sparkle,’ support and love to your world, rather than make it dark. He’s driven. He’s talented. he works hard. He’s passionate. He’s intelligent. He’s stylish. He’s dedicated. He’s gentle, fun and affectionate. If i’m talking about balance and connections, we are definitely aligned….as we see the world through the same eyes. Yet we’re different enough to keep it ‘sexy.’

We got the drinks in, lots of them, all sorts. Strong, sweet, in glass skull heads, in fruity, well designed numbers. We shared rinks, we guzzled our own. Our drinks were ‘showy’ all smokey and magical. He likes a show piece. Lol. And hey so do I.

We talked about everything, life, love, people, our own lives, work, each other…our pasts, our presents, our future…we talked about our children…our own views on life, love situations and all sorts..everything. It was fun. I had an absolute blast. I listened to his stories and he was fascinating and funny with it. He’s a gentle, loving soul…yet with humour and spunk. He told me about how he nearly got eaten twice in a row, in his life and his minor fear of spiders. 🙂

I adored him. And there we were… just us and life….in that moment, with cocktails, on this massive Earth ball, getting to know each other. I couldn’t have been with anyone more perfect. It was just easy. He is a non stressful human being and that makes me really really happy. He’s emotionally sound. Like i said, this guy is amazing…someone that you’d treasure. He’s doing well and will do well in life. He’s a good person.

I will tell you that as my night started my chick friend ‘McC’ (who i ADORE) sent me an essay text reading…

‘Winner! Your shallowness will not be peeking it’s head up so far then…let’s now hope that he is loaded, has an ego to match yours, has a huge ‘****,’ be good in bed, be good with kids, have his own helicopter, have banter, run his own (non market) business and not be too much of a dick, but just enough to keep you interested. Ha..ha…and magic exists right?’  *Then a kissy face*

Hahaha. I love ‘McC.’ Funnily enough, I read it…and let him read it too, as it was hilarious and we have the same sense of humour…and he just looked up, with my phone in his hand and said, ‘Well i have everything but the helicopter.’ Haha. And that’s exactly what i was going to say…and mainly because…it was uncannily true. Lol. ‘Eton Mess’ is literally like my dream man. That man that you never thought existed for you, but he does??

Okay, back to the story. Imagine yourself right there with us, in a dark booth, with skull glass cocktails, lit with mood lights from cherry blossom trees, that walled next to giant air suspended anchors.

So we jokingly referred to our meet up as ‘second base.’ And we kinda (as i would say) smashed the bases. To me that’s naturally amazing. There were parts of the evening where in which i caught him staring at me, when i wasn’t looking…(and we can say anything to each other, we’re good like that. I mean, god he says all sorts…even ‘Did you just burp?’ Hahahaha.) But yeah….I caught him staring at me and straight away i’d ask ‘why’ and he’d just say ‘ i was just trying to figure out what u were thinking.’ Luckily, i’m good like that. You can ask me what i’m thinking…and i will just tell you. 😉

The night was just wonderful. He is wonderful.

And time flew! Before you knew it…it was last orders. But it was strange because the evening felt so eventful that I didn’t want it to end…yet time kept moving…fast…but we sort of went from two people who had never seen in each other, who began chatting online…to two people that, by whatever time last orders at Tattu occurred…were just all in sync and naturally doing life.

It was funny because when we left, there was only one umbrella laid by the door, as we walked out. Yet when we walked in, the side wall was literally FILLED with umbrellas, laid on the floor entrance. Hundreds of them. AND SOMEONE STOLE OUR UMBRELLA. Lol. So we were left with the cutest, tiniest, see through, white rimmed girly brolly and like the decent people that we are we in turn stole that one and we walked arm in arm, under it, through the Manchester streets, under the night stars, on our giant Earth ball. Life really mattered that that point. I mean, Lots happened that evening from start to finish, but you kind had to be there….all that’s between us. Telling you the experience, is never as good as being there and experiencing it. There was an energy.

We spooned all night (i like a spooner, as i am the most affectionate and expressive chick on the entire planet, but it’s important to be able to share energy)….and like i said, Friday morning, i woke up to the most amazing soul/human/man that I could ever know…and all from a message weeks ago, that read, ‘that Eton mess looked amazing.’

I want to see him again…like now. 🙂
