Gino’s, Issho & A Bit of Bottega Milanese

Image may contain: Chrissie Wunna, close-up and outdoor

So, last week, I think it was Tuesday, after I shocked myself up, the night before, dashed off a train, only to find myself in Newcastle, which was of course wasn’t Leeds and of course completely the wrong stop! Yipppeee! I waited for ages, hopped back on a train and tinkered home, got in at around 1am…and woke up the next morning ready for work and lets face it, ready to ‘work it.’

*Wiggle, Wink.*

The city was Leeds. A city close to my heart. And my number of stop off’s, shimmied to THREE…and I LOVE it when I get to visit loads of my faves in one day. It gets me excited…and you get to watch it, as I place it on my Insta story…(which is the whole point to me going.)

I actually fooled myself into thinking that if I wore pinstripes and looked moderately smart, I wouldn’t feel as tired and everyone would think I was sassy and posh. Haha. But whenever, I do venture into the city centre, through the day…I always dress quite smart anyway, because it’s that kinda city. We’re quite eclectic, yes…But we’re also quite ‘bouji.’ There’s a sense of style, grace and fun…no matter what walk of life you head into the city from.

You’ll strut…not walk. You’ll pass shoulders with young professionals in suits. You’ll cross city streets next to PR girls in heels. Everyone is well turned out…The city is alive. Everyone’s filled with ambition and ready to make something glorious out of themselves…It is a ‘stop off for a cocktail at noon,’ kinda town.

And for someone like ME…What could be better.

Plus, I always walk through the city and never drive through it, simply because I can only FEEL IT and blog about it, when i’m immersed in the middle of it.

At around 12.30, I tottered into my favourite ‘daytime gig’, which is the Espresso bar ‘La Bottega Milanese.’ I go there all the time, when I fancy a bit of peace, yet fun, because the tunes in that joint are SO good. It’s sort of R & B ish, which you wouldn’t expect from such an airy, calm place of creativity.

I blogged from the high bench, hungover on Tuesday..and I usually always get there around 11.30am. (They also sell Prosecco and light treats, even though they are an award winning espresso bar. In case you didn’t know.) And I loved every single minute of being there, because every soul around you is doing something creative. I was sat next to a guy who was writing poems in a notebook and a girl, with a sketch book, who he didn’t know, who was drawing him.

I LOVE THAT!

And both parties were completely fine with it all, because we’re still Yorkshire. We don’t get worked up over the little things that make people happy.

To my left, was a business man, who was conducting a meeting with a suited GQ looking colleague and they were both in ‘commercial property,’ discussing a ‘closing’ of a deal. I was blogging, hungover in the middle, in my ‘don’t look hungover‘ pinstripe shirt. And if you were following my story, you will have been there with me. (Insta: @chrissiewunna.)

It got really busy at lunch time and that place filled up in minutes. But I already had another place to stop by. So I packed up my pink laptop and tinkered back through into the city. But yes, you all should stop by La Bottega Milanese.

‘A place for networking, relaxing and to be seen.’

You’re drinks are served to you in the most creative manner and the detail and design of the joint is perfection. I go there ALL THE TIME.

My next stop was Issho. Now you all now how much I adore Issho, at Victoria Gate. It’s located in the ‘bouji’ part of the city. You’ll pass Louis Vuitton, Harvey Nics, and everything in between. It’s my favourite Sunday Afternoon ‘roof top terrace’ spot. The place is beautiful, calm, yet busy with a sexy quiet lust, It’s Japanses. Stylish and a haven for a models, glamour pusses, footballers, wealthy families, or the money man…That’s the vibe and whenever I go…I’ll always order a cold sake, which is served to me, in a Japanese clay bowl, filled with ice, to keep it’s temperature correct, at all times.

The staff are the height of exquisite, when it comes to service and they’re also so much fun. I mean I was talking to Jack…(I think it was Jack or was it John? Lol) Anyway, he is originally from Romania, just moved to Leeds, from Manchester, now working at Issho and has been in the city for only 2 weeks. He was telling me how having your own place in a new city is amazing, because you can do whatever you want.

If you wanna walk around naked with a whisky, you can.

Yet being new to a city, on your own is difficult, but only at first, because Leeds is a city where you make acquaintances quickly. It’s not as cold as London, yet there’s still so much to do. But he was going to Everyman’s Cinema with his work colleague, who was also so much fun..Also so much banter..and offered to take me swimming. Lol.

Me: ‘Swimming?’

(You don’t need to take me swimming to see me in a bikini. Just Google my socials. Lol)

Issho J: ‘Well why don’t you come to the cinema?’

Me: ‘I’m already booked to go next week, for work.’

Bottom line, lots of gentle fun, surrounded by all things stylish and Zen. I could have a Issho Sake now. (What time is it?) Love that palce. You should go.

My last stop was Gino’s. Owned by the delightful Gino D’Acampo. Everybody in the city knows that this is where you will always find me…as it is literally my favourite haunt..and I influence the the glories out of this restaurant/bar. I’ve been to them all over. The staff are hot Italian Gems. I could not get treated better in that place and it is a stylish, but warm, family, friend or date spot, kinda joint. It serves you all and when you’re in there, you FEEL good, like you’re in safe hands.

Probably why I like to go.

The quality of the drinks, service and food is divine. I mean, as soon as I walked in, straight away it’s air kisses, love from the managers and the warmest greetings as I’m  and walked to the bar. i don’t even have to order (I go there so much) and a Prosecco in a frozen glass will appears, in front of me. Immediately, before I even wink, the beautiful Italian lady behind the bar, winks and says,

‘I’ve ordered you the focaccia, breaksticks wrapped in parma ham with pesto and honey drizzled cheese. I know you’ll need a bar snack, you can have them with your drink, to compliment it.

PERFECT! HOW GOOD IS THAT SERVICE.

Then later, I got talking to Francesco ( Insta: @francesecolapodl) who works behind the bar there…and I loved him because he was such a delight.

Francesco: ‘Where have you just come from?’

Me: ‘Issho…It’s great there.’

Francesco: ‘Is it! I’m looking for somewhere to take my girlfriend on a date. I’m looking for somewhere Asian. We did Sukhothai…

Me: ‘Yeah, I love it there. Issho’s Japanese. So it’s like sushi/sashimi…and lovely. It’s pricey though..’

He *winks*…because that’s  what the Italians do. Oh the charm. I love the charm. Haha. I mean you can’t stop adoring the staff at Gino’s…It’s almost like a perfectly cast show of style, glamour, and Italian family values.

Then with a smirk, he says…(and this part is SOOOO HOT LADIES…..His lucky girlfriend…)

‘I don’t mind pricey. 🙂 The price doesn’t matter to me at all, Chrissie. I work in the industry. I’m happy to pay over and over again. for good food, great service and good times, with my girlfriend.’

Francesco, please marry us all. We girls LOVE IT when guys are hot like that. And it’s not about the date,  or the simple cost of anything..and all about the fact that it’s such a MANLY…GENTLEMANLY…TRADITIONAL way to be. It’s attractive. And all girls find it attractive. He’s the man of his kingdom and can take care of his girl on every level, out of love, respect and good times.

I kinda want to head to Gino’s now too? Lol

Anyway, I know that everyone this evening is going to be hooked on ‘Love Island’ and never venturing out again for the next month. But if you need places to go in Leeds, you should try the above three joints out.. I actually only watched little bits of ‘Love Island’ last year. But i’m gonna make the effort to watch more of it this year…However, I’m not gonna let it effect my social life. Lol. I am still a grown up. I can catch a tv show on repeat. Real life social interactions for always right now.

Stress, Love, Boys & Dickheads

Image may contain: 1 person, close-up

Oh my GOD! I’ve been having the most stressful time. Lol. It’s been hideous. I kinda just want to hide under my duvet for months, until life turns ace again! Right now, i’m on ‘rest’ and I’m never going on ‘rest’ again. I’d rather burn the candle at both ends, than be anything near, this jolly term of EVIL, that my superiors have labelled ‘rest.’ It literally only gets me into trouble. I swear on my life, it’s been crackers. I don’t do crackers. Well…unless their prawn. 😉

Resting should never be done and only fine when placed in front of the words ‘bitch face.’

The good thing however, is that Junior’s had a birthday. My Baby son, who (alongside Ruby) is my world, has officially turned FIVE. I love him so dearly, that i oculd fill up, right now,  even telling ya. Unfortunately, (as there’s always got to be a party pooper,) his father (who’s a previous ‘party boy,’ now turned Jehovah’s Witness,) and I, do NOT see the world through the same EYES. Let’s just say, I’m in Dior sunnies and he’s….. obviously BLIND. 🙂 But we co parent Junior. We share a son.

Basically, I wanted to make sure my son celebrated the day he was born, as LIFE in general, is SO deliciously important, in my mind and well Keiran, (his Papa)…is utterly against such apparent ‘Tom Foolery’ (due to God and stuff) and informed Junior that if he did not chose to work for ‘Jehovah,’ when he grows up… when he DIES,  he will not go to paradise?

EH?? He’s FIVE. What’s Paradise? Issho on a Sunday? That’s bonkers. Let us pray for YOU, Daddio.

Anyway, I won..and we flipping celebrated my baby son’s birthday for FOUR DAYS STRAIGHT.

Wunna:1

Jehovah: 0

I’m certainly exhausted, but whatever, it was worth every PIECE of glitter ball energy. No one loves a shindig more than my boy.

Now, when I co parent, I don’t always know what’s best for my son? We as parents always just do the best we can, with what we know, right? But I know what really ISN’T right and I know what doesn’t sit well with me. And I will say, that the great thing about Keiran and I, is that we both love our son, madly. However, the MAJOR difference between us, is that I prefer to ask & listen to Junior’s needs and go with what he tells me he loves….instead of telling him what he HAS to do, or force a religion upon him and basically because i’m not….. *swear here* deluded.

Rant over. Back to fairytales.

It’s just hard because I’m so glad that I’m no longer with Keiran or married to him anymore. It’s been years and it’s been so wonderful being free. And he’d say the same. Yet my son, who I love more than life itself….has to hang out with him…. twice a week and recite the Bible. Surely that confuses his soul?

*Rolls Eyes.*

Anyway…moving on….No… shit does not… end there…

Like it couldn’t get any worse… life wanted to pull the rug from right under me AGAIN…

Cheers! Wahey!

..and one merry thing, after another merry thing, all decided to lose its mind and venture it’s way ‘tits‘ up. FRIDAY, was literally the worst day ever. Lol. I got so stressed, I could’ve exploded. But hey, exploding is better than imploding.  The cat ran away (and i’m not surprised. Haha. I can’t find Rocco anywhere, and each one of us is devastated.) I was then embarrassed and shouted at in the middle of Ego’s garden area, by a dude who called me a ‘Bad Mum.’

Jenna: ‘As if you were embarrassed. You’re never embarrassed. i should video this..’

Infact,  this is what he said…

‘Right, i’m gonna be honest with you….EVERYBODY LISTEN….I’ve been off my face on cocaine for the last three days and I could kidnap your *points at me*  kids if I wanted to.’

LOVELY!

Then he loses the plot on me….and after a wee ‘DOO DAA,’ (and I’m labelling that lightly…)

..It all kinda went wrong for him….I think? I mean, the beautiful staff at Ego, sorted his sorry arse out…and saved my delicious honour.

Kim (Ego): ‘He’s been asked to leave…’

I literally had to turn around to Ruby, who said,

‘Mum, he told me he knew you, he said he was your friend because he knows you off Instagram.’

‘No Ruby. If someone knows me off Instagram. They aren’t always my real friend. He doesn’t know me at all… What did he ask you?’

‘My name. Where I live? What school I go to? How old I was? He said I looked just like you…’

‘Please, pleeeease, don’t talk to a stranger ever again. Sometimes, it’s not safe.’

And in that moment, I kinda realised that everything was changing…and for the first time ever, I had to teach my daughter to distrust, because of my career choice. This IS a NEW chapter and that moment with the crazy dude, AT FIRST.. made me never want to go out again, or have to talk to ‘strangers’ that I didn’t know, during my free time. Like it wasn’t or isn’t worth the drama.

Then my friends gathered around me and stood by with utter support...(I have wonderful friends,  family and support. I’m so lucky, it’s unbelievable.)

And just like that….I slept on it and once again, I felt moderately mighty. Don’t call someone a bad parent, when  you’re a ‘self confessed’ druggie father. It’s not how it works. Don’t think you know everything about me, when you’ve only seen a handful of pictures on Instagram. Don’t embarrass me in front of everyone, simply because it makes you feel less weak.

Don’t do it in front or around my children….EVER. I try to keep them balanced and away from panic. You didn’t have my permission to invade our personal time or space. Don’t show up to a party that you’re not invited to.

Common etiquette.

On Friday, I either wanted to get back to work, or to jet off on a sunny holiday. (Code for: A glamourous way of burying my head in the sand.)

It kinda made me feel more exhausted and a little weary of people and that’s not a good combo of fun, is it? I hate that. I’m a positive soul and that’s all wrong. I want to protect what’s mine and have no one mess with that ever. I only want to be around those who know me truly and nowhere near those, who really don’t. I’m tired of being judged. But accept that I always will be.

And yeah  this may sound really grumbly, but I’m actually super okay about it all now. I just needed to vent it out loudly. So, from the bottom of my Pina Colada heart, I thank you ALL for listening. ..

Being ‘on rest’ has tired me out more than anything. Lol. I’m stressed out, because of it. But, I’ll shush, cos it’s only temporary. But GOD! How many shitty things can happen to someone in 24 hours. It’s been shocking. Being at work, keeps you focused.

Keeps you out of trouble.

Today’s a new day and I just need a moment to ACTUALLY relax. Actually chill. I could nap all day. But I won’t, will I? Instead i’ll galavant.

Infact, I went for a couple of drinks last night to destress and I loved it. It helped so much. KatyP is now back from her forest cabin trip. Thank God. Before she left, she began a saucy rumour about a DUTY FREE SIZED TOBERLONE... and my vagina. (Hahah.) We laughed so much, we cried…then she f***** off to Norfolk. (I don’t even know if that’s where she went? Lol)

Claire: ‘I’m glad you get what a Mars Bar party is Chrissie…Anyway, I heard about you and Duty Free Toberlone. Haha’

Me: ‘Haha. That honestly, never happened…It’s Kate’s fault. I’m gonna start a rumour about HER, for when she comes back.’

Last night was fun because I was surrounded by friends….Julie, Scotty, Claire, Ian, Golfer Jonny, His mate Barney, KatyP.. and a whole lot of faces that I kinda knew anyway, were scattered throughout the bar. It got me back to normal and I needed that. I really needed that. I’ve just been knackered.

I’m excited to go again and get back to work. I’m only on ‘rest’ because when you have a job that entails continuous drinking, partying, late nights, early mornings, and travelling, you run your body down quite quickly. But you also run yourself out mentally…Yet, your mind needs to be sound, because you have to write it all out and influence every little bit, as you go along.

The thing that I hadn’t been doing is eating well. I shouldn’t say this, but I’ll tell you the truth… I haven’t sat down and had a full proper meal, in weeks. Everything’s been a snack here, a ‘graze’ there…a nibble…or nothing at all, and my system has been flooded with work, cocktails, fun and life.

I’m really close to my family and  both my parents are doctors…So, whenever I do a big work stint…we all check in, with my agent and make sure i’m healthy, replenished and dandy, before I shimmie off again. It’s like being a sportmans, but when your sport is LIFE.

It’s nothing like being a sportsman! Haha. It’s way less sweaty.

Anyway, everyone keeps asking me about my love life? I haven’t talked about it for a while, because it’s ‘dead air.’ Lol. No one fancies me. No one’s talking to me. Lol. Everyone’s ‘pieing‘ me off. 😉 Nothing exciting is happening, at all.

Yesterday, I was all ‘love needy.’ Today, I’ve grown up…and I can’t be arsed with the drama of a potential relationship. I’m happy. I’m really happy and it’s gonna take a really great MAN, to walk in, step up and share a life with me….as under no circumstances ever, will I give up my own happiness, JUST TO ‘couple up,’ if he’s not my soul mate.

I know what I want and I’m refusing to sell myself short.

Plus, when it comes to love, even though, I write my life out for the world to read….this isn’t ‘SHOW,’ where I NEED to fall in love for ratings…It ain’t  ‘Love Island,’ this is REAL LIFE, where grown ups reside, feel and live. It’s not ‘story boarded’ or perfectly produced….it’s written per stiletto step, as I go along….

I never know what’s going to happen to me…I only know that no matter what, in the end it will be wonderful.

Chrisse x

ps/ Do not settle for something your soul does not deserve.

Kitty Sexuality, Wantons & Mind Blocks…

I just keep having these really weird dreams. The other night I dreamt that I was outside in the sunlight, about to board a flight and around me I kept seeing planes taking off into the skies. The mood was all happy and calm and then I looked to my right and the Eiffel Tower appeared out of nowhere? Then I got on my plane?

Last night, I dreamt that a guy I know, who was being all lovely, all smiley, all happy…Well, he got down on one knee, and proposed to me. He put a silver band on my wedding finger and had a matching one on his wedding finger? Again, the mood was all lighthearted and peaceful. Everything just felt so perfect?

I either need to stop drinking before bed time or these dreams mean do actually mean something? I’ve stopped looking them up now….I never dream? Why am I dreaming so much?

Other than that, It’s a busy time in Wunna Land. I’m kinda just getting my ‘kitten concentration’ on, to focus on it all for a bit, as i’m rubbish at organizing things, schedules and everything in between, when it comes to my own world. I’ll just dance off with an afternoon cocktail in my hand, gleefully…. which is the bouji version of burying your head in the sand,’ when everything comes at once.

YIPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEE!

I could do with a cocktail now and it’s only 10.47am.

Slippery slope…

(Yet, luckily a slope that i’m used to…Free slide anyone?)

Yesterday evening, I managed to ‘tipper’ and a ‘tinker’ and once I did, in a flash, I had ‘penned’ into my schedule….and officially booked something in. (This is why I’ve always said that my soulmate needs to be of an organised nature. I’m quite obedient, if I don’t have to deal with the ‘faff’ of things.)

So, in April, I’m looking forward to heading down to see Kwoklyn Wan, at his deliciously divine restaurant, in Leicester, for a bit of jolly filming and blogging, as he teaches me how to cook things, for your absolute ‘social’ delight. I’m a cheeky little thing, so it will be sprinkled with that infamous Wunna Land charm.

Image result for kwoklyn Wan this morning

He was actually on ‘This Morning’ a couple days ago, with his little brother, the ever famous Gok Wan, teaching Holly and Phil how to whip up some whirlwind wantons, as he is the ‘MASTER’ of making the most delicious Chinese Street Food.

Image result for kwoklyn Wan this morning

April…(and I think he’s actually filming a documentary at that time)….I will be embracing all this Asian with him, as he teaches ME…how to be a Wanton Master! We’ll be doing a video, that you’ll all get to watch and along with a blog, I’ll be ‘socially’ sharing my behind the scenes with you.

I’M SO EXCITED!

See! A little ‘being organised‘ does you some good!

Right now, I’m trying to swizzle everything together for the CHRISSIEWUNNA.COM advert. Organizing the location, outfits and themes etc…is quite difficult. But I know what I want and I’m gonna be working with Jake Logan (who’s simply great.)

Let me tell you….The advert is going to be oozingly dripped in an actual mind blowing swirl of sexuality. It’ll be ‘kitty femme’ at it’s utter finest. It’s there to tell a story, it’s there to advertise the blog, socially. You’re not even going to know what to do with yourself afterward! 🙂

IT IS GOING TO BE ON FIRE!

We’re both really excited to film it. It can’t come quick enough. Organizing it, is actually stressing me out. But if it all goes well…They’ll be lots more adverts.

I have two shoots booked, that are coming up shortly, followed by content shoots for my ‘socials.’ Right now, i’m not finding enough time to fit everything in. Yet, I’m really lucky, so I’m going along with it all. I’m smiling and i’m winking.

I guess, sometimes things feel tough…Yet ‘tough’ is only temporary. Once you pick it up and handle it, it dissolves and becomes easy. So, i’m staying hopeful and enjoying the work that I love.

I had something else to tell you, but I can’t remember it?

SHIT! I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS! For Gods Sake! I even have my specs on! It’s meant to make me smarter!

No..Mind’s gone blank.

Oh Wait??

…Nope…Minds gone blank. 🙂

Anyway, everything’s great. Lost my mind. But everything’s great. I’m excited to finally get my teeth fixed. I’ve got to organise picking up the new whip. I’ve also got to organise getting a new tattoo, which i’m actually quite nervous about. I tried to talk myself out of it…But i’ll message them today and book in a ‘go see’ date…The reason why I need to do that is simply because i’m scared. The only way to solve fear, is action right? So i’m gonna smash it about, like a human dynamo and get it all sorted.

All of the above are ‘collabos’ with brands and businesses and if life is about living and adventure, then I’m the luckiest kitten in the world.

I’m still building….But something tells me, that good things are going to happen! (I dreamt of planes taking off!)

PLUS….

I HAVE A SURPRISE A COMING UP….

Some of you won’t actually like it, but lots of you will. And believe me, I have an actual internal FEAR bubbling inside me because of it.

Thank you for following my version of life!

Big Kisses,

Ruby, Life Lessons & A Big Old Week

Today I’m feeling great. Didn’t think i’d be feeling as great as I do to be honest, as my evening was filled with bad dreams and scary bits of fear. How delicious right?

Funny thing is, I decided to wake up, gleefully chill for a second, relax about life and pressure because being stressed about anything is a waste of your actual time….remember that…. it gets you know where, but in a tizzy…Then I got up and got on with life with a smile.

Yeah, I have a lot of work on, yeah I’m under pressure, yeah it’s going to be a little bit of an emotional week for me, as Junior, my littlest takes on his the ‘First Day of Big School’ on Wednesday. (When that happens to your tiniest, you just ‘well up’ with emotion and you have no clue why? It springs out of nowhere? For me, his entire life will just flashback before me…It’s like a milestone…You can’t believe how time as flown and how you’ve AT ALL managed to keep them in one piece for FOUR WHOLE YEARS! Lol)

But yeah…all of the above….everyone’s going through it. Everyone’s going through the exact same thing. Some of us will do with grace, some of us will do with with a smile, some of us will stress and some of us will not be able to handle it. You decide which path you want to tinker down. It’s like a catwalk…you form your strut and you go for it. But like i said, we’re all going through the same thing…So it makes me less special and more normal. Infact no, it’s makes us all special, as special is the new normal. More people need to appreciate the life that they have. It’s not shit. It’s great. You’re doing better than you think you are!

Yesterday was great. I had a lot of work to do, an audition and all my book to write. The babies were off to ‘Sunday with their Daddies.’ Junior got to Keiran with easiest of ease and as Pete (Ruby’s Daddy) was running late…Ruby tugged at my arm, beckoned me down to her mouth for a whisper and simply said in the most gentlest manner,

‘Mum….do you think it would be okay, if I didn’t go to my Dad’s just yet and instead do lunch somewhere with you. I’d really like that.’

I think she needed that. We go back a long way Ruby and I. 😉 We’re life team mates. We’ve both been through a lot emotionally. And sometimes, she just needs a moment with me….where there is just us, no one else and the world a blur around us.

Yesterday, Ruby and I had our ‘Mummy/Daughter’ day and it was perfect. We sat, we lunched, we chatted about life, with laughter. I mean, I just looked at her as she asked me questions about life and the world, and she just looked like the most perfect little lady.

‘So boys can fancy boys Mum?

‘Yeah totally. And girls can fancy girls to.’

‘Oh? I fancy Justin Bieber, so I must fancy boys, right? Why do you have big round boobies and some women have thin floppy boobies?’

‘Oh, cos my boobs are *boob job* boobs and some women have normal boobies..’

‘Are me and Junior only half brother and sister because we have different dads?’

‘You’re brother and sister. I’ve raised you that way. I’m ya mum. You’re my babies. We don’t do half of anything. We’re a family..He’s your brother…’

‘My Dad says that Junior and I were with the birds and the bees and then I pushed him and he fell out of your tummy?’

‘ERm….Hahaha. Well you know that didn’t happen. When you’re older i’ll tell you what happened? Haha. That did not happen.’

‘Are you gonna get a mojito?’

‘Noooo….just a wine.’

‘Mum…I love you…’

‘I love you to baby…You’re beautiful…’

Infact, there was a moment where she just paused, went quiet and then started to giggle to herself.

‘What are you giggling at?’

‘I’m just so happy.’

And as a mum, that’s all you need to hear.

Then the world took a turn, I got on with some work, Ruby spent some time with her Daddy and although i had a moment of panic about all the work I have to conquer…I just decided to go to bed early and relax. If there’s an obstacle, I’ll go around it. If there’s a wall, I’ll glamourously throw a glitter rope over it and start climbing. If there’s a dickhead…well I don’t deal with dickheads.

Resting, worked wonders.

Today I feel great.

Don’t let the shitty bits of stress get to you. Think positively. I’m a huge ‘law of attraction’ believer. Like attracts like and all that shimme. Do it, because once you surrender to stress, it spreads like wildfire to everyone around you, those that you care about….and all around like germs. It’s not good for you, or them…

Cheer up. Get on with it! Happy Monday.

Oh and thank you for following my life!

Work, Blackpool, Drama’s & Cocktails

a1

‘What did she say?’

‘Gonorrhea..’

‘Are you sure?’

‘Defintely!’ 🙂

Yes, today is the day where I spent a moment of my life, (oh life) listening ‘Fairytale Blond’ proudly tell  ‘Hot Sarah’ her story of how she has an immune system disease, with a Pukka tea in her hand, that she shared and it was delicious. For some reason I made the executive decision to change her disease to ‘Gonorrhea’..and ‘Chinese Whisper’ it on to Firmonnell. 🙂 🙂

I don’t even know? I was bored, even though it was busy. But it was funny! I need to entertain the masses, as we’re again going through lots of changes. Plus, they all know we well enough anyway and just went with my Tom Foolery for kicks, APART FROM ‘Firmonnell’ who decided to nag at me for inaccurately delivering the story of her ‘breast milk pancake’ club.

‘What was INACCURATE about YOU joining a Mum’s club that MADE breast milk pancakes for fun??? You said that!’

‘No i didn’t! I said I was JUST THERE. I DIDN’T MAKE THE PANCAKES out of fucking breast milk.

Hahaha, like  ‘just BEING there’ wasn’t hilarious enough????? Don’t know about you, but i’ve lived a rather eventful life! Y’know, I’ve coloured outside every box, danced with fire, as it’s danced along with me…but not ONCE in my ENTIRE EXISTENCE have I EVER had the delicious experience of ‘breast milk pancake friends’ AND at a community centre. HAHAHAHA. DYING!

Again..this is probably why i’m single! 🙂 I’m a tit. But one that doesn’t produce pancakes. 🙂

I don’t think i’m actually adoring being a singleton right now. I’m not liking it as much as I thought. (That isn’t a grene light for everyone to jump on in. I’m not a desperado…I can still hol dout for the right pick. Lol.

I love, love. I love the fun and loveliness that comes with joining forces with a team mate. Y’know, someone who understands you and does life with you, someone you can build an ’empire’ with and enjoy secrets with..all of that. Someone you love and take care of. I really hope to find that guy. I really hope to fall in love, as my relationship with WORK I have down now. We get on well, because i’ve nurtured that rapport. Lol. I’m headed on the right track and doing it well. I’m feeling confident. (Even though there’s been a lot of entertainment type, other work ‘DRAMA’ today, for no real reason? If I despise anything it’s drama. I get my giant glitter scissors out and cut myself away from it all immediately, as I just see it as negative and what I know in life is that NEGATIVE PEOPLE, who don’t radiate a warmth or a kindness NEVER EVER DO AS WELL AS THEY WISH. And they never do well because they waste so much of their time concentrating on bitterness instead of focusing on being better. It’s that simple.)

But yes, now that i’ve preached. Life is great! It’s always great because i have the best friends, family and colleagues around me constantly, who without them even knowing keep me grounded, smiling and..well sharp witted. Lol. I’m cheeky, i’m charming and i’m dashed in what I call ‘glamourousity.’ When my ‘entertainmenty’ world is turning into madness, and it is a mad world, as the business of ‘show’ is a cut throat industry. It’s almost unreal…it’s a dog eat dog kinda game of ‘who does it best’….And well it’s during those times when the ‘family, friends and colleagues,’ make everything okay again without them even knowing. I appreciate that and more than they would ever think.

I guess i’m going through a weird  ‘becareful what you wish for, as you just might get it’ stage. I’m happy and I’m working hard and I understand all that, I mean GOD i grew up in Hollywood. Yet when there’s glitter drama swirling around me, i’m really good at keeping my eye on the prize, concentrating on what matters, staying focused and just doing what I love and loving what I do. (By myself.) I get ahead in the time that people waste and it makes a difference.

I’m doing really well right now and I’m working really hard for everything that seems to be coming into ‘bloom.’ More than anything i’m adoring every moment of writing this blog. Giving back creatively and telling the story of my life, as I go along… to ME.. is simply wonderful. Like I always tell you, this blog, is literally the only thing that I have been disciplined and accidentally dedicated to for almost a decade. Before all the modelling in LA, TV stuff, love life dramas and everything in between occurred….there was this blog. AND I LOVED IT. I even loved it before it was public and when it was still just a little jotter that I scribbled in with a biro, on my sunny balcony in West Hollywood on Kings Road, as my neighbour Cletus, popped out (we sort of shared the balcony) to make cups of tea and give me advice, as my love life was always shitty. An ‘almost’ decade onward, a whole new life, continent, three failed marriages and two babies later, i’m STILL writing it, loving it…BUT NOW everyone is listening…

That little balcony jotter, 8 years on… has turned into a FINALIST in the UK BLOG AWARDS THIS YEAR! It’s crazy. My life is just…crazy. So, I know my time will come…and when it does…(and it seems to be going well,) i’ll make impact. It’s not how MUCH you do…it’s the impact you make when you do it.

ANYWAY, aside from all that! Thank you for all your emails and messages. I read them ALL even though I kinda don’t get enough time to always reply! I’m doing an ‘Ask me anything’ blog shortly and weeing myself at some of the questions you’ve drop kicked into my inbox. Lol. I’m really excited to whop out my replies…but mainly because i’m an ego maniac. 🙂 I enjoy it. I love a Q& A. Lol.

People have also been asking me about my time with Blackpool. Why I was there? What I was doing? Well, after I shot for House of Solo Magazine in Leeds, I shot down to Manchester and then to Sunny Blackpool to meet up with Liam Halewood for a couple of evening cocktails. It was really great, as I’d never really met him before, yet i watched him on Xtra Factor and knew that his spirit was hilarious.

I arrived in Blackpool, he picked me up from the station with his friend Aaron, who was sweet and oozed a kindness…and then after I was driven to his, I had a cuppa tea, talked to ‘Alexa,’ who is this Amazon robot thing that does everything you tell it too! OH mY GOD! Literally EVERYTHING you tell it to! You tell ‘Alexa’ to sing for you..She whops out a tune…You tell her to turn on the lights, or pop on the kettle…SHE FUCKING DOES….like magic. I NEED TO MARRY ALEXA. I then met his dog Jimmy, appreciated the stylishness of his home, giggled the evenings events with Aaron and then met Liam’s husband.

We got changed, we had fun, we gossiped about people and went out for windy cocktails in Blackpool. So much fun. A hilarious evening. I couldn’t even walk in my diamantee heels AND I WAS SOBER. But cut me some slack, do remember that I had been up at the crack of dawn doing the fashion shoot in Leeds, after the longest week of ‘every hour going’ work….I did well to get my glad rags on and do cocktails under then night lights of Blackpool with the boys. Yet, i always say that it’s the company you choose to keep that determines how much of a great time you’ll have. I couldn’t have been in better company. It was one of those random ‘good times,’ filled with laughter witty banter, and just letting lose. I needed to feel free for a moment…as i’d been working SO hard that a ‘melt down’ could’ve occured. Lol. Plus, I hadn’t drank all day, so i needed to feel comfy and I needed a wine, before we even started the night out. So we walked to the shop to get one quickly, as you need one when you’re getting ready. Liam looked all styley, with his shoe game on point. I WENT IN MY ONESIE. 🙂 I know!! Whatever, it was cold outside and it felt so cosy. AND the shop was literally two seconds away.

‘Chrissie they haven’t got a mini wine??’

‘Ugh! What is there?’

‘You an get a can of Jack Daniels! Lol!’

‘But do they sell straws? I can’t drink out of a mini wine or a can of JD without a straw. I’ll look like a DICKHEAD!’

I had totally forgotten that I was STOOD in the middle of a guy’s newsagents IN MY ONESIE, already looking like  prize twat, whilst in heels and concerning myself over the fact that I hadn’t got a straw for my goddamn can of JD. 🙂

‘Look! I’ll just buy a Ribena and you can use THAT straw.’

See! I adore people who come up with solutions to my problems. Lol. Ribena is purchased, the straw is placed in my can of Jack Daniels in a can. I’m now the happiest girl in all of the world. I’m armed with a Gucci bag. Yes, I looked THAT terrible…and as soon as we walk out the newsagents…

*PAP/PAP/PAP/PAP/PAP*

(It actually happened ALL night, wherever we went.)

Now….in these situations, you can either shy away or you can realise that even though you’re comfy, you look like a tool and commit to it. Ofcourse I went for commit to it…and well we all know that i’m the exact opposite to camera shy. I took my facebook slutty onesie pics to the NEXT LEVEL. Hahah.

It’s a good time. We laughed all the way back to his…nearly got run over….but laughed….

‘Fucking hell, i’m not going down like that!’

Then we got changed for our night out. It’s was a windy night and we were meant to go for posh beachfront cocktails at Beach House. But it was closed.

So instead we tottered into into ‘Las Iguanas,’ which was across the street and filled with a bright ‘life.’ You know how much I love a fun Mexican joint. It’s one of my favourite types of ‘hang outs’ as there’s always something quite relaxed yet exciting about them. My second husband was Mexican. Being Chrissie Martinez for a bit was hilarious. Before that, I was a ‘Weverstad’ and then when I got to England, I was a ‘Thompson’…Then there was just ME again….as a Wunna! 🙂 And even though I get along with all three guys so well…I’m much happier.

We all enjoyed cocktails and the most delicious nibble trays at ‘Las Iguanas.’ I’d definitely go again. The food was delicious. Plus, I adore a good nibble plate. It was great! We bantered about life and love. Just all sorts really.

I guess Liam had been in there before, he seems to know everyone in Blackpool. He’s pretty much just produced and put together his own reality show, called ‘Fylde Coast’ that depicts life in Blackpool, yet one that shows you a more glamourous and fun side to it. I’ve officially done cocktails in Blackpool now so I can literally tell you that been there IS a glamourous side to it! I watched the trailer of the show on his phone, whilst I was sat on the sofa and let me tell you.. I was pretty ‘hooked.’ If you enjoy tongue in cheek, yet fun reality shows…then you will LOVE  ‘Fylde Coast.’ I hope it does well! 🙂

That night was a great night, as I got to let loose for a second during a very busy, busy work week.

Yet, as per usual, I was dashed to the train station when the clock struck ‘time to leave’…and just like that, after a few selfies, an evening of being papped and a great time meeting new friends…I waved Blackpool ‘goodbye,’ as my train left Platform 6…and made it’s way to Manchester Piccadilly.

(Y’know, when it got to Manchester Piccadilly and in the 7 minutes that I had before I was headed to Leeds…and whilst some strange gentleman was trying to hide the fact that he was smoking on the platform, yet still managing to do weird slutty faces at me…I AGAIN, used my 1 percent of my remaining life to Snapchat Steven Bartlett. Not to be creepy or anything…well, i’m sure i look creepy….But I had seen his snap a day before or so, which was asking people to give ‘ask HIM’ anything’ for his Q & A. I actually have A HUNDRED THINGS TO ASK HIM, so this was music to my ears, but i just couldn’t find a spare minute to simply send a ‘snap’ to him. I found that minute…on Platform 13 of Manchester Piccadilly, now 3 minutes before my train arrived. I began filming….and just as i was about to ask my question….MY PHONE DIED. What is my life!)
